Take A Holiday In Wales, And Enjoy A Takeaway?
As an English man through and through, I am happy to confess a passion for the Welsh and love visiting Wales. I love the scenic routes when travelling up to the north to meet friends who live in Angelsey. The people are passionate and on the whole friendly towards me – an outsider, providing some of the finest cuisines available in the UK. As a result of reading a blog post on a big online takeaway company, I was quite shocked.
It seems difficult to understand, but it would appear that the Welsh are the most likely customers of takeaway food in the whole of the UK. If what you want is to spend your holidays in Wales, you could do the same as many of the local population and order a takeaway. This could be a little challenging if you have decided to stay in one of the many holiday cottages in Wales, , and fiind yourself in a place that is quite remote.
According to Just-Eat the super online takeaway specialists, there has been a huge growth in sales to people living in Wales. It is particularly in the big cities like Cardiff, where we have seen many surfers ordering takeaways online.
Managing Director David Buttress who was born in Cardiff said “It is great to see my fellow Cardiffians embracing the online ordering concept and indulging in the slightly unusual things to do in Wales. The growth in sales in South Wales and particularly Cardiff is satisfying to see, especially as I am from the area.”
One of the takeaways, City Pizza on City Road Cardiff is experiencing the growth. Mr Kakay, owners of City Pizza said, “The volume of orders Just-Eat send us has always been impressive. I joined the service in 2006 but recently, the online side to my business has gone through the roof. I am really glad I joined the online service. It is an easy service for my customers, and therefore very easy for me.”
