Illegal Immigrants In Alicante

Nine illegal immigrants were arrested on the beaches of Gran Alacant and the Arenales del Sol last week .A very small boat with an outboard motor was found near the Santa Pola lighthouse and then the Guardia Civil began a search of the area .Six were detained almost as soon as they reached the shore while the other three fled and were caught later.It is not yet known whether others escaped. The occupants of the boat were all male and of Algerian origin,they were all in a good state of health .
