In Elche on the Costa Blanca a National Police officer was literally shot in the foot when he tried to ward off a dog which was about to attack him .It appears that the weapon went off accidentally and the officer had to receive hospital treatment. An Ecuadorian woman,living in Benidorm, is facing an 18 year jail sentence for stabbing her partner to death in May 2006.The woman had attempted to stab her partner on two previous occasions .It appears that the man was drunk at the time.The victim
